Eight miles south of Rock Hall, where the Chesapeake Bay and Chester River converge, sits a 2285-acre national wildlife refuge. The Visitor Contact Station – the Lodge - is a historic (1933) hunting lodge featuring exhibits, maps, a bookstore, and gift shop. The refuge offers extraordinary birding experiences as well as ideal hiking, boating, fishing, and crabbing.
